Official welcome of the 20+ Olympians and Paralympians, their coaches and support crews led by Mayor of Waipa, Susan O’Regan. Meet and greet your Waipa Champions from 4pm. Snap some selfies, grab autographs and see their medals up close.
Food trucks, Mr Whippy and Cy-Co The Cycle Coffee Company and more, family-fun activities, live music featuring DJ Ricki, live interviews with Camille Guzzwell from The Breeze. Confirmed athletes attending include cyclists Ellesse Andrews, Shanne Fulton, Rebecca Petch, Bryony Botha and Emily Sherman, rowers Brooke Francis and Phoebe Spoors, sailor Micah Wilkinson and teammate Erica Dawson and para-cyclists Anna Taylor and Devon Briggs.
