A classical guitar concert by Swedish artist Georg Gulyás, professor at Karlstad University and Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Gulyás is on tour in Australia and New Zealand in April 2025. He studied at the Juilliard School in New York and received soloist diplomas from the École Normale in Paris. He will be playing a program of music from Spain, Paraguay, Brazil, Sweden, and England among others. He has recorded J.S. Bach complete lute works for guitar as well as a wide range of composers including Britten, Ginastera, Villa-Lobos and de Falla. His performances have gained high praise, the CD entitled “Albéniz, Ponce, Tárrega” winning the award Best Instrumental Music at the 2006 Audiophile Recordings Awards in Hong Kong.
