Biketober: Ride to Karapiro (& back), from Hamilton Gardens to Karapiro (& back) 76kms on the Te Awa River Trail, 9am-5pm. Due to the distance, this ride is for e-bikers and/or people who are fit and confident riders. More info about the trail https://www.te-awa.org.nz/. Starting at Hamilton Gardens and travelling to Maungatautari Rd, Lake Karapiro, the 76km return trip can be shortened by joining and disembarking anywhere along the river path.
