The Cambridge Polo Club has two fields at grounds in LambStreet, Leamington.

It is one of four polo clubs in the Waikato, one of the strongest polo-playing regions in the country, from which players are regularly selected for New Zealand teams.

polo cambridge-isiteThe Kihikihi Polo Club (24km, 25 mins) is one of the oldest in the country, having formed in 1892, while other clubs play at Taupiri (47km, 45 mins) and Morrinsville (32km, 35 mins).If you enjoy rugby or football (soccer) you will love polo.

The Cambridge club hosts annual competitions such as the Hannon Cup (December), the Keyte Watson Cup (February) and the Skene Cup (March).

Chukkas are sometimes played on private properties around Cambridge.

Top international players John-Paul Clarkin and Simon Keyte have hosted games at their property in Kaipaki Rd, near Mystery Creek, since 2010. The cousins regularly play with and against the best players in the world, as well as Prince William and Prince Harry, of the Royal Family.
