The heart of Cambridge's retail area is its main thoroughfare, Victoria Street.

It is home to a wide range of specialist shops, cafes and businesses, that aim to meet the needs of the town's 18,400 residents and the many thousands who visit or stop while passing through.

simply-divine cambridge-isiteYou'll easily find free parking in Victoria Street or in car parks on either side of the main street, meaning you're only a few minutes' walk to dozens of shops.

Many boutique shops also line side streets such as Duke St, Alpha St, Queen St, Empire St and Commerce St.

The variety on offer surprises many visitors - you'll find shops that cater for the fashion conscious, for those interested in art or antiques, or those looking for the latest book or beauty product.

In 2009, the Future Proof project considered what was likely to change in the Waikato over the next 50 years. It concluded that 85% of Cambridge residents would continue to consider local businesses as their first option - ample evidence that locals feel well-served by their retailers.
