This year the magic of Christmas comes to Cambridge with the Cambridge Christmas Festival which raises money for local charities. The 2016 theme is ‘Let it shine’ at Christmas featuring trees decorated by colour and using lots of lights, glitter, shimmer and shine. There is a butterfly memory tree where you can add a butterfly to the tree in memory of those not with us this Christmas. The children's corner has a model railway train and trees to delight the children. The Festival features a Christmas shop with handmade decorations, gifts, home-made jams, preserves and chutneys. A trip to the Christmas shop is a must-do for locals and visitors alike. Many families keep up the tradition of bringing the children to buy their Christmas decorations each year. Local school and adult choirs perform carols on most days. Take some time to enjoy homemade Christmas treats in the tearoom.Entrance is by gold coin donation.
