  • Cambridge hosts its annual four-day Autumn Festival, promoting music performances by well-known artists as well as literary, theatrical and dance events.
  • On Anzac Day in April, a Remembrance Ceremony is held at the Cambridge Town Hall and at the Cambridge Cenotaph.
  • The award-winning Balloons Over Waikato event takes place over five days every April, as dozens of hot air balloons ascend through the Waikato sunrise at 7.30am each day, filling the sky with colour. Best vantage points are at Innes Common, Hamilton Lake and the University of Waikato's campus where a night event combines fireworks, orchestral music and the glow of the balloons.
  • The Cambridge Jockey Club holds the biggest of its three annual race meetings at Hamilton's Te Rapa Racecourse.
