Cambridge is at the centre of one of New Zealand's best regions for growing food.

Locals and visitors benefit from this when farmers and local food manufacturers take their produce straight to where people can buy it at its freshest, either through markets, mobile vendors or the many roadside stalls that appear when foods are in season.

farmers-market cambridge-isiteThe Cambridge Farmers Market takes place every Saturday morning, from 8.00am till midday, at Victoria Square in the centre of town. There, you'll find all sorts of produce that's come straight from where it's been grown or made.

The Tamahere Country Market is held every third Saturday of the month at St Stephen's Church, Tamahere (14kms, 15 minutes drive from Cambridge). The market, with more than 100 sites, runs from 8.30am till 1pm and offers everything from produce to buskers.
