The Cambridge Farmers Market takes place every Saturday morning, from 8.00am till midday, at Victoria Square in the centre of town. There, you'll find all sorts of produce that's come straight from where it's been grown or made.
The Tamahere Country Market is held every third Saturday of the month at St Stephen's Church, Tamahere (14kms, 15 minutes drive from Cambridge). The market, with more than 100 sites, runs from 8.30am till 1pm and offers everything from produce to buskers.
While New Zealand Daylight Saving prevails, the Te Awamutu Twilight Farmers Market is held in Selwyn Park,next to the Information Centre in Gorst Avenue (24kms, 27 mins drive from Cambridge), on Thursdays, from 3.30pm till 6pm.
Watch out for roadside vendors who regularly offer fresh seafood or in-season specials such as sweetcorn, avocados or tomatoes.
